Cason- 7 Months

Cason continues to be such a happy baby! He rarely cries and if he does, he stops once he is picked up. He loves his brother and I adore watching the 3 of them interact-they are really going to be best friends! 


At 7 months Cason...

• Weighs 17.5  lbs and is 26.5 inches long
• Wears size 3 diapers 
• Wears 6-9 month clothes and size 3 shoes
• ARMY CRAWLS and is VERY close to crawling on all fours.
• Sleeps from 7:30p.m. -6:00 a.m. Sometimes he wakes up for a bottle in the middle of the night.
• Takes a morning and afternoon nap (Roughly 2 hours each)
• Has started to put his hands up when he wants to be picked up
• Has eaten carrots, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, avocados, prunes (his favorite!) , applesauce, bananas, and pears.
• Likes to chew on anything and everything!
• Loves bathtime!
• Loves to scoot around on his bottom and roll around the room.
• Loves looking at himself in the mirror, sticking his tongue out, and squealing in delight
• Experienced his first Thanksgiving

Cason- 6 months

Our little Cason is 1/2 a year old! (Seriously- can. not. believe. it.) It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital and we were up in the middle of the night doing feedings. He is such a happy baby and is very laid back.

At 6 months Cason...

• Weighs-17lbs
• Wears size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes
• Eats around 6 ounces every 3 to 4 hours and is enjoying carrots, green beans, and baby cereal.
• Loves his jumperoo
• Enjoys taking baths and loves to kick the water
• Pulls his feet to his mouth all the time
• Loves to play with his toys and roll all over the living room
• Likes to lay on his back, lift his feet up, and slam them down on his crib
• Enjoys going for walks and watching Nolan and Brody play
• Loves to smile and giggle when you kiss his cheek 
• Experienced his 1st Halloween (He was a monkey, Nolan was a supertrooper, Brody was Captain America)
• Continues to bring joy to our lives

Cason-5 Months

 Life is sure busy this fall! School and preschool is in full swing and we are living for the weekends. Our weekends are filled with Iowa football games and playing outside. Life with 3 boys is a lot easier than I expected and we are loving being a family of 5!

At 5 months Cason...

• Weighs 16.4lbs
• Wears size 2 diapers and 6 month clothes
• Naps 2 hours in the morning and afternoon
• Sleeps 7:30p.m. to 4 a.m. and then back down til around 8 a.m
• Sits with support
• Can roll from one side of the living room to the other
• Drools A LOT
• Is starting to get a head full of hair
• Loves to watch his brothers play and adores them
• Giggles and smiles all the time!
• Continues to bring joy to our lives!

Cason- 4 months

Cason is 4 months old today! It seems like he has been in our lives a lot longer than 16 or so weeks! He is truly a very happy baby and smiles all the time.The boys adore him and constantly love to give him hugs and kisses. We are all living for the weekends now that school has started!

At 4 months Brody...

• Weighs ___ and is __ inches long
• Wears 3-6 month clothes but I am going to get out all 6 month soon!
• Wears size 2 diapers
• Eats 5oz around every 3-4 hours
• Gets up once a night to eat around 3:30 a.m....however sometimes he will go until 6 or 7 a.m..
• Rolls over from his tummy to his back AND his back to his tummy
• Sleeps on his tummy
• Has started to use the bumbo seat
• Loves to coo and smile
• Loves to take baths
• Enjoys looking at himself in the mirror
• Loves to kick his feet 
• Helped Nolan start 1st Grade and Brody start Preschool! 
• Continues to bring joy to our lives everyday!
• Loves to stand up with support

Cason- 3 Months

3 months have gone so quickly and I start back at school tomorrow! It's going to be very hard to leave all 3 of my boys, but I know they are in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa during the day!

At 3 months Cason...

*Weighs  15 lbs! ( Nolan at this age was only 12lbs, Brody was 16lbs)
*Height- 24 inches (Nolan at this age was only 24, Brody was 26 )
*Wears size 2 diapers
*Wears 0-3 month  and 3-6 month clothes
*Drinks 5 oz of breast milk every three hours
*Sleeps for 9 or 10 hours at night!
*Sleeps on his back swaddled
*Is a very laid back  and smiley baby
*Sucks on his right hand mostly and is starting to not use the paci
*Loves his play mat
*Has figured out when he kicks his feet on the play mat, it will make the lights and music start
*Loves to stand up with support
*SMILES all the time and knows the word smile.
 *Loves bath time!
*Went to the zoo for the first time and had his first train ride!
*Brings joy to our lives each day!

Kansas City Vacation

We went to Kansas City for a little vacation. We left Cason here with Nani and Poppi since he was only 8 weeks old. We had a great time! The boys enjoyed going to Science City, eating at Fritz's, Legoland, the Aquarium, Worlds of Fun, and Oceans of Fun. Nolan conquered his fear of water slides and loved them! It is safe to say we were all exhausted after our trip, but that's what vacations are all about....right?! We can't wait to go back when Cason is a bit older!
