9 Months

Nolan is 9 months old and has CHANGED so much in the last month! He learned how to crawl around 7.5 -8 months and now in this past week he has started to pull himself up on EVERYTHING. He also began started to "cruise" along furniture and walk with his walker! It definately makes it harder to leave the room for a minute because you never know what he is going to get into or pull up on. Yesterday he also pulled himself up into the standing position in his crib for the first time...looks like we will need to get out the teething covers for his crib.

We are so excited for Christmas this weekend as it will be the first time Nolan gets to open presents. He loves to play with paper so I am sure he will enjoy it! Jimmy and I want to take him to go see Santa either tomorrow or Friday....I am sure Nolan will scream at the top of his lungs as he has developed "stranger anxiety" like you wouldn't believe! I think it will still make for a cute picture....and a memory!

At 9 months Nolan.....

  • Weighs 18lbs

  • Not sure about length...we go next week for his doctor appointment

  • Wears size 2 diapers still

  • Wears mostly 6-9 month clothes

  • Takes roughly a 2 hour nap in the morning and afternoon

  • Goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. and sleeps til 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. unless he is going to daycare

  • Loves to shake his head to music

  • Gives high fives, claps, and is working on waving bye-bye

  • Pulls himself up on people, couches, toy tables, etc.

  • Has started to take a few steps with his walker and will cruise along furniture

  • LOVES bathtime and loves water

  • Eats 2 70z bottles and 2 6oz bottles a day

  • Is not really a big eater.....he will eat about 1/2 a jar of fruit, 1/2 a jar of veggies a day and cereal in the morning. He does not like anything solid....he spits it out.

  • Loves to read books before bedtime-especially touch and feel books

  • Sucks on his thumb when he sleeps

  • LOVES TO CUDDLE!

  • Has developed a sense of attachment to Jimmy and me....is afraid of strangers

  • Loves to figure out how things "work." He will flip his toys over to see where the music is coming from and try to open it.

  • Has the longest eyelashes and such big blue eyes

  • Has started to learn how to stack cups inside of each other

  • Shakes his head back and fourth when my mom says "No, No, No"

  • Is learning what stop and don't touch mean
