Brody-18 Months

Brody is officially 1 1/2 years old. I can't believe how fast time goes and now Fall is here! Fall brings lots of fun things-football, leaves, pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and smells of apple cider. Brody is a busy little boy and I can't wait to watch him pick out pumpkins, dress up for Halloween, and play in the leaves this year with Nolan

At 18 months Brody....

• Weighs about 22lbs and 33.5" (85% for height and 12% for weight to height ratio)
• Still wears size 3 diapers
• Wears mostly 12 month or 18 month clothes and size 5 shoe
• Loves milk just like his mom
• Uses a spoon and fork to feed himself
• Is a pretty good eater and will try most things.
• Has lots of teeth-too many to count
• Likes to run and hide 
• Enjoys riding on my playskool trike throughout the house
• Loves to take showers and fill up his cup of water.
• Loves to read books!
• Enjoys going for walks up and down the street
• Plays with his racetrack and car
• Likes to knock down towers we build
• Is obsessed with shutting all the doors in our house
• His favorite animal is a puppy-he likes to make the barking sounds
• Loves to play with his Leap Frog magnetic farm animal puzzle-he can make matches all on his own, but loves to mismatch and giggle.
• Enjoys dancing to music  
• Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!

17 months

Our little Brody is almost 1 1/2 years old! The time (and summer) has gone by too quickly. Everyday is a new adventure and he makes us all smile! School as started back up and Nolan begins preschool on Tuesday. Brody will get to experience what it is like to be an only child for half a day! =)

• Weighs 22 lbs
• Wears size 3 diapers, 12-18 month clothes and 4w shoes
• Lots of dark brown hair and eyes
• Will try any type of food we give him at least once
• Shakes his head no in the correct context.
• Loves to play with light up swords, remote control cars, and our race track.
• Likes to play hide and seek...aka run from us and try to get us to catch him
• Enjoys being outside-he loves to go for walks, swing, ride his trike.
• Loves to brush his hair with my brush
• Is starting to use forks and spoons independently
• LOVES to dance to music...by himself, or have us pick him up and dance.
• Understands everything we are telling him....he just chooses whether or not to listen.
• Had his first Iowa State Fair experience-he did little Hands on the Farm and saw the animals.
• Loves taking showers
• Continues to bring joy to our lives each day! 

16 months

Summer has quickly flown by (insert sad face) and it's time to get back into the swing of things! I have enjoyed my summer with the boys so much and don't want it to end. Little Brody is now 16 months and seems to be looking more like a toddler by the minute...slow down time!

At 16 months Brody...

• Weighs 21lbs
• Wears mostly size 12 month clothes and some 18 month
• Wears size 4w shoe and size 3 diapers
• Looks so cute in his toddler haircut!
• Loves milk and is a great eater-he will at least try anything you give him! He loves cheese!
• Enjoys music and LOVES TO DANCE
• Likes to play hide and seek...in which he runs and hides in corners
• Cries when you tell him no
• Likes to wrestle with Nolan...yes this has already started
• Says Mama, Dada, and Up and some
• Signs more, please, and all done
• Takes a morning and an afternoon nap
• Loves to go for walks, ride in the stroller, pulled in the wagon, or pushed on his trike
• Loves to be ticked and his giggles are so cute
• Follows multi-step directions
• Can make a sound for a monkey
• Loves the book-Sophie Pop-Up Peekaboo and we have to read it every night!
• Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!

Brody-15 months

Summer is in full swing and so is little Brody. Our now 15 month old is enjoying summer and all the trips we have been taking! Now that July is here, it's time to sit back, relax, and enjoy summer 
At 15 months Nolan...

* Weighs 21 lbs
* Height- ___ inches
* Wears size 3 diapers
* Wears 12 and and a few 18 month clothes and size 4w for shoes
* Takes a morning and an afternoon nap- roughly 2 hours each
* Eats mostly anything we give him, or will at least try it. This week he ate grapes for the first time!
* Loves bathtime and the pool- he loves to use cups to pour water on himself
*Can follow any direction given to him...just depends if he wants to do it.
*Does not like the word "No" and has started to bite people when he hears it or gets mad.
*Flew on an airplane for the first time and did fairly well.
*Went to the beach and loved playing in the sand!
*Went on his first amusement park ride in North Carolina
*Loves animals-especially birds. He squeals in delight when he sees them.
* Had his first skinned knee...but didn't cry to bad.
*Loves to "talk" on the phone.
* Can sit and play so contently with his toys.
* Loves to put things back where they belong and to put clothes in his hamper.
* Continues to be such a good listener...I hope that continues!
* Enjoys swinging in the backyard with his new swing
 * Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!

Brody's 14 Months

Brody is 14 months old and is in the cutest little stage ever. He loves to walk around, run, giggle, and babble. I am so looking forward to summer so that I can relax, play, and enjoy the days with him and Nolan.

At 14 months Brody...

• Weighs 21.5lbs with clothes and a diaper on
• Height-not sure
• Wears size 3 diapers
• Sleeps roughly from 7:30-7: 00 a.m.
• Wears mostly 12 month and 12-18 month clothes, size 3w shoe
• Loves to eat-his favorite is macaroni and cheese, along with string cheese.
• Has ear infections ALL.THE.TIME.
• Can follow directions...when he wants to. =) He is our little rule breaker. When you tell him no, he smiles, and then continues to do it. He has spent a lot of time in time out.
• LOVES to be outside, go for walks, and go to the park.
• He loves to read-his two favorite books are "Peek-a-Who" and "That's Not My Lion."
• Is obsessed with hair brushes and loves to brush his hair
• Has 3 bottom teeth and 4 on the top.
• Loves riding in his outdoor little tikes car and riding in the wagon
• Points at things he wants
• Signs all done when he is finished eating
• Loves to turn off the lights...he loves to push the light switch down and figure out which light it controls.
• Has recently become obsessed with ceiling fans. He points, stares, and wants them on all the time.
• Climbs up stairs and has recently learned how to go down them on his stomach.
• Is sitting in a big boy car seat
• ADORES Nolan and loves to play with him.
• Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!
