A Lot of Catching Up-Texas Visit

Let's just say this past month has been "busy." I haven't had time to blog and there is so much to blog about! Lots of fun times and of course, a new addition to our family. But first, let me start with a visit with had from Jimmy's sister Kate and our nephews Jake and Ben from Texas. They came for a short visit at the beginning of April and Nolan had a blast playing with Jake and Ben.

They arrived on Thursday and came over to our house for lunch and some playtime. The boys had a blast watching Frozen and sang along to the songs. Jake and Nolan had fun playing with his new castle he got for his birthday and Jake enjoyed "exploring" all of Nolan's toys. I didn't take any pictures of this day, but you can imagine what a room looks like with  a 3 year old and a 4 year old playing. =)

On Friday, we went to Monkey Joe's. Nolan and Jake loved that place and loved going down the huge slides. It was very hard to keep up with them running from bounce house to bounce house. I wish the place was set up a little better where adults can sit in the middle and be able to see all of the inflatables.

On Saturday, Nolan and Jake ventured over to Home Depot for the kids building session. They had a blast making a bird feeder with Grandpa Wittenwyler and Jimmy.

That evening we went to Valley West Mall to ride the train by the Easter Bunny. Nolan sat on his lap, but didn't smile as well as he did with Santa. Jake and Nolan loved riding in the train...they rode it a few times and even "drove" the train. Afterwards, we went to Snookies for an ice cream treat. To our amazement, Nolan tried some ice cream! He only took a few licks, but baby steps!

On Sunday the boys went bowling. They loved bowling and using the dinosaur ramp to help them get the ball down the lane!

Then Monday came and the boys were going to go to the Science Center...however someone else decided it was to be his birthday!! Needless to say Nolan had a blast with his cousins and looks forward to seeing them again soon!
