Spring Break

We decided to take a mini vacation over spring break to Omaha. There are so many fun things to do and it is only 2 hours away. We were fortunate enough to have Aunt CC come join us! We were there Sunday through Tuesday and had a blast at the Omaha Zoo, Children's Museum, and Pump It Up. Here are a few pictures from our trip.We had a great time and I am sure we will go back!

Happy Brody on Saint Patrick's Day!

Brody- 11 months

 

 

Brody is 11 months old today and is such a sweet and happy little baby! Everyday he greets me  in his crib with a big smile and a giggle. He is growing so fast, and  loves chasing after his big brother Nolan!

At 11 months Brody...

• Weighs 20lbs
• Has so much hair! He has had 2 trims already, and I think I need to do a third!
• Eats 4 bottles a day-we have started mixing 2% milk with my milk (5 oz)
• Wears size 2 diapers....still! (3's at night)
• Wears mostly 12 month clothes
• Has dark brown eyes that have a sparkle in them
• Loves to eat! He loves gerber fruits and vegetables, but has really started taking an interest in table food. He loves anything with noodles- pasta, mac and cheese, ravioli, etc.
• Is starting to drink from his sippy cup...he usually just chews on the top
• Has a lot of teeth...3 on the top and 2 on the bottom
• Sleeps from 7:15p.m. to 10:30 p.m, eats and then goes back down until 7.  He naps 2 times a day for 1-2hrs each time
• Loves to read books
• Babbles "Dada" and has recently started saying "Mama"
• Knows  how to give you a "kiss"- he will lean in and open his mouth on your cheek.
• Gives high fives, waves, and claps
• Loves to walk with the walker, cruise around furniture, and play with his toys
• Loves rattles, BALLS, trucks, anything he can pull and push, and knocking over "towers" made out of stacking cups
• Is fast at climbing up the stairs...he likes to climb them whenever we go upstairs to his room
• Plays peek-a-boo...he will sit behind a door and move the door back and forth to play peek-a-boo with you....it is so cute!
• Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!

Brody-10 Months

This weekend was pretty busy and exciting. Brody climbed up 15 stairs all by himself and turned 10 months on Saturday! I can't believe in 2 short months we will have a 1 year old. How can he really be that old?! Nolan just adores him and it is so fun to see them start "playing" with each other!

Brody at 10 months...

• Weighs 19lbs
• Wears 9 and 12 month clothes
• Loves to eat bread, sweet potatoes, apples & cherries, bananas, carrots, puffs. He has tried some new foods this month-macaroni and cheese, ravioli, and  cinnamon rolls just to name a few.
• Sleeps 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Has a bottle) and then sleeps til we wake him around 6:45 a.m.
• Cruises everywhere-around furniture, with his walker, and in the kitchen.
• Had his first "haircut"
• Went sledding for the first time and seemed to like it.
• Has started stacking cups inside each other
• Loves to knock down towers
• STILL wears size 2 diapers.
• Claps hands, gives high-fives, waves bye bye, gives kisses on the cheek (licks your cheek basically) and knows how to do ..."How big is Brody?......SOOO BIG! He will raise his arms up.
• Loves to play with balls-he will roll them to us, roll them across the room and go chase them, chew on them, put them in cups, baskets, etc.
• Crawls everywhere and learned how to crawl up the stairs.
• Cruises along furniture and stands holding on to things very well. He now has started to stand without hanging onto anything
• Has started to drink from his sippy cup during meal times. He still is not quite sure how much he likes it.
• Loves music-he will shake his head to the music and now has started to move his body.
• He loves to walk in my walker I had from a baby-he moves so fast around the kitchen and dining room..
• Brings joy to our lives each day!

Brody-9 Months

Mr. Brody is now 9 months old. To celebrate, DMPS cancelled classes so I could spend the day with him.....or because it was too cold to go outside. =) Our day was spent playing with Nolan, eating, napping, celebrating with a little cake...(just a taste-it was mostly so Nolan could blow out a candle and sing), and then a bath. The life of a baby-how nice!

At 9 months Brody...

• Weighs 19lbs (48%)
• Length- 29.5 inches ( 84%)
• Wears size 2 diapers
• Wears 9 month and 12 month clothes-he is so long!
• Crawls everyone and does not like to sit still for a diaper change and/or clothing change.
• Sleeps 7-10:30p.m. and then from 10:45p.m. until we get him up in the morning around 7 a.m.
• Shakes his head when you say, "No, no no."
• Gives high fives and claps-we are working on waving bye-bye.
• Has had his share of sickness this past month- a double ear infection, Bronchiolitis, and now croup.
• Needs a haircut...eventually I will break down and give him one.
• Celebrated his first Christmas and New Years.
• Met his Aunt Megan, Uncle Brian, Brian, Emma, Maddy, Abby, and Uncle Mike for the first time.
• Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!
