The Good and The Bad

This week was another busy one for us, both good things and not so good things. I'll start with the not so good news-Nolan had his first trip to the doctor for not feeling well. Turns out he has a blocked tear duct (which is what we thought it was) and was given some ointment to put in his eye. (It is the same stuff they put in his eyes when he was born.) We also have been massaging it and cleaning it daily. It has helped tremendously and his eye is doing great!


The good thing that happened this week was that it was Jimmy's 28th birthday! Jimmy's parents, my parents, and Christina came over to help celebrate his birthday. Since it was on a Thursday, we ordered pizza and had ice cream cake. It was his first birthday as a dad...so of course we had to get an ice cream cake that said Happy Birthday Daddy on it. (Side note: Baskin Robins makes great ice cream cakes...however they are not the best at decorating them. This cake does not look anything like the one I ordered. Supposedly they "ran out" of oreos. They were supposed to be standing up all the way around the cake.) Nevertheless, the cake tasted great. Jimmy got a lot of good gifts, including 2 books all about meat-how to pick out certain cuts, how to prepare certain types, etc. Needless to say, we are excited to grill out this summer!
