It's Tulip Time and Mother's Day!

Nolan had his first road trip to Pella on Saturday with myself and my mom. We went to the Tulip Festival in the afternoon since it was so nice outside. Pretty sure everyone else had the same idea because when we got there, it was packed! We had a hard time walking around, especially with Nolan's stroller, because there were so many people! Not only was it packed, but it was also hot. It was in the 80's but felt much hotter due to the crowds of people. We still had a great time though-looking at the tulips, watching the parade, looking at the cute little shops, eating bologna on a stick, fudge, and kettle corn.

On Sunday I celebrated my very first Mother's Day. It was fun, but still seems strange to think that I am a mom. Jimmy made me hashbrowns with sasuage and cheese biscuits. It was delicious! Nolan got me the Willow Tree statue of Guardian-A mom and a baby. We spent the day having Jimmy's parents over for breakfast and then grilled out with my parents in the evening. It was a wonderful 1st Mother's Day.
