A Lot To Be Thankful For

This past week was Thanksgiving and this year it seems we are thankful for many things.

1. Nolan
He is officially 32 months old and continues to amaze us everyday! We never know what he is going to say or do and he talks with such expression-it's so cute! Our life would not be the same without him and we can't wait to see him as a big brother.

Nolan....

  • Weighs 32lbs and is 38 inches tall
  • Wears size 2T clothes and size 7 shoe
  • Is potty trained (wears overnight diapers for naps/nighttime, but wakes up dry!!)
  • Is making progress towards eating food...he has eaten "apple chips," drank Hawaiian punch, and ate (licked) a banana. It seems as though is more willing to try things lately so hopefully this will continue.
  • Is obsessed with Monsters Inc. He loves Mike Wazowski and Randall. He has a Mike doll and is getting Randall and Monsters University for Christmas. The other day he told me, "Mike Wazowski has one eye! He's not supposed to have one eye....he's supposed to have two eyes!"
  • Has been talking in full sentences for many months. Some of the things he says often: "Where are my letters?" "It's dark outside. We need to take a nap. We can't play on my playset. We can't do bubbles. We can't go sledding." "Mommy, I want milk please."
  • Knows all his alphabet letters and their sounds...it's crazy!

  • Sleeps in his big boy bed and his in boy bedroom. It was a very easy transition from his old room/crib to his new room with his big boy bed. No issues at all!
  • Got a tot clock-we love it! He knows when the face is blue he has to sleep and when it is yellow he can call us to get up.
  • Loves to play his tablet and is obsessed with the alphabet and the solar system.
  • Is going to be a big brother!
  • Continues to bring joy to our lives each day!
2. Easy Transitions

We moved Nolan into his new bedroom with his big boy bed. We are grateful how easy it was and he loves it! He keeps saying, "I had fun in my big boy bed!" We did a sports theme and a room he can grow into. The bedding is Pottery Barn, but everything else is from Hobby Lobby, Homemakers, and KidCraft.

The ceiling fan has bats for blades, a baseball glove, and the ball is the light.

Bookshelf Jimmy made....we love it! It takes up no space and can hold a ton of books!(There are 65 currently.)

Locker nightstand and baseball glove ottoman.

3. A Healthy Baby

We had our ultrasound on Tuesday Nov. 26th and everything looks great! The baby is measuring right on track and is healthy. It was a little difficult to figure out the gender because the way the baby was laying, but we eventually were able to figure out the gender. We had a gender reveal party that night and it was a lot of fun! We didn't know if it was a girl or boy until we opened the box with our families.

We are SO EXCITED to have another boy. Jimmy and I were preparing in our minds for a girl because of how sick I have been with this pregnancy. (It has been 100% different than Nolan's.) We both really wanted another boy so that Nolan would have a brother and they would be close. We are BEYOND happy and can't wait to meet him next April!

4.  Family

We are so thankful for our families and love being able to spend time with them. We are fortunate to have  Aunt CeCe and both sets of our parents live so close that they are able to develop a relationship with Nolan. Here are just a few pics from this month.

Cars jammies with matching slippers.

Ready to trick or treat!

What did the train say to the doctor? A-choo A-choo!
